We are back to blogger. I never felt at home at WP, so when we were ready to move E set up a new blogger site. This being my first post, I can say that I already feel like I'm more at home.
For those of you out there that are wondering what the H*LL is going on here, I had people in my real life tell me that they were still reading the blog. Since we moved home and I now see basically anybody that should know anything about me, I am not really keen on having said folks know things about me that I didn't tell them (i.e. that I didn't know I told them.) So, the old blog had to come down.
There are probably some other good reasons that it had to come down too. I never found my voice on WP, yet I didn't want to give up our Village reference -especially since we are on TTC #2. I have been aching to write, but felt trapped in being unable to do so. My dear sweet wife recognized my hardship and set up some new blogs with Village references so that I could choose the name that worked best.
Village Devoted makes sense for our continuing journey. It is still true that it takes a Village to make a child (Fed Ex, sp.erm banks, doctors galore, u/s techs, and a support system.) It is also true that we are fully devoted to our Village: both our familial Village, and the metaphorical Village that we are living in.
Those of you out there that are part of our internet world: I am sorry the last two years have been so spotty from us. I hope to reconnect with some of you now.
For those of you who have been keeping up with us, I will finish last month's story. As you must know we had decided to pursue a full bio-sibling for Asher. We only had four vials left, and the donor is no longer donating. We did a medical cycle with our new RE and we drove the hour to have our insem. When we arrived, they informed us that our vials were all dead. Not exactly the news E wanted on her birthday. We were devastated.
So, that's where we are. We haven't even tried since March. In the meantime everyone we know is pregnant. Argh.
It feels good to be back on blogger and back to blogging. :-)
