Update
We've got one weighing in at 16.5. We are going to do two more days (tonight and tomorrow night) of 100 IU of FSH and then an ultrasound on Thrusday. Looking good though!
Turns out...
it might have been the flu. So, I got into work today to find out that 4 other co-workers had gone to bed Friday night feeling fine only to wake up to run to the bathroom. Sounds like the symptoms are all similar and the duration it close. I still have some rumbles in my belly but nothing too bad. A few of them even went to the doctor who said a 20-72 hour flu was going around. Hmmmmmmm.....
Today we have an ultrasound to check on follie growth. Fingers crossed!

Food Poisoning
Poor E! After her softball game last night, we took Jim - E's dad- to a Caribbean restaurant known for its drinks and good food. We had way too much food on the table, and enjoyed sharing pecan crusted grouper, a shrimp tomato curry, and papaya prawns - in addition to coconut shrimp and some carrot soup. Feast! Of course, we also managed to drink several mojitos.
Unfortunately, the prawns didn't sit right with E, and she has been in bed all day, after being up all night. She can't stand the idea of the peppermints, 7up or gingersnaps I bought her yet, so send her lots of 'feel better' thoughts. She did, however, appreciate the"crystal rose" Walgreen's had- tacky things always make a sick person feel better!
On the baby-making front, the injections are going well. E's an old pro already! No bruising yet, and she has figured out that I won't feel any sting if she blows on the alcohol to make it dry. Hopefully she will be able to do more today than just get up to give me my shot. :-( We have our first check-in u/s on Monday at 330, and we don't really know what to expect. Since we took this last break, my cycles have been fantastically regular- like never before. (Could be the weight, the exercise, the lack of stress, the regularity of a 8-5 job, or my new commitment to drinking/eating only whole milk products...) so, we're hoping for a good cycle this time around.

Shot to the gut

So here we go, starting the shots again and the extra artificial section of babymaking. Never seemed so complicated in the books but I guess that is what happens when you start out without the “right” parts!

Here we go!
Today's ultrasound went with out a hitch (well unless you consider the fire drill that luckily occurred post stirrups and medical gowns)! One tiny tiny follicle on each ovary, no cysts, good endometrium for CD2 and ready to roll. We will be back on injectables starting on CD4 (12th) and a follow up ultrasound on CD8 (16th). I will be sticking S with 100 IUs of Follistem as and may adjust at the CD8 ultrasound.
This is our third July of trying. Our first ever attempt was an at-home insemination in July 2005. My how time passes. If we had been successful that time we would have a 2 1/2 year-old. It just isn't fair so now is the time to make this happen! The NP was impressed with S's regularity and even said, "You're cured!" Fingers crossed that she is right and S is as fertile as her mom, grandmothers, aunts and sister (most of them had 4+ children)!

I just can't wait....
to get on the road again!
That is right folks, we are looking to get back in the babymaking game. Today is CD 1, S has an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow, and we will have our plan set for the coming try!
